                      ICAT Program Installation Notes

ICAT can be installed on any computer operating under Windows XP or higher
by running the program setup.exe, which is part of the installation package.

ICAT can be installed to the default folder or to another folder specified
by the user. A folder named "ICAT" will be created in the specified
location. The installation requires about 98 MB of disk space. A button
labeled "Disk Cost...", which appears during setup, can be used to check the
available disk space on your computer.

You may see a warning that the publisher of the software cannot be verified.
Select the reply to run the software anyway.

You may also receive a message asking if you want to run a program
from an unknown publisher. You should respond by pressing "Yes."

Depending on the configuration of your computer, the installation may take
up to several minutes. If the ICAT setup window is not visible, close or
minimize any other window that may be open. Sometimes, the setup window
flickers or briefly disappearsdo not take any other action, but wait for it
to reappear.

Once the program is installed and running, you can get additional help by
clicking the "Quick Reference" tab in the upper left-hand corner of any ICAT
screen. The same information is available in the file QuickReference.pdf
which is installed in the selected program folder.

Following the initial installation, you can run setup again if you need to
repair the program or remove it from your computer.
